UNICOM® Global buys Washington Technology Park I & II

Acquisition of premier IT real estate in Washington DC area to be cornerstone of UNICOM’s government operations

MISSION HILLS, CA – December 15, 2015 – UNICOM® Technology Park, Inc. (“UNICOM”) today announced that it has closed on its acquisition of one of the largest technology parks in the Washington DC area, known as UNICOM Technology Park I & II (formally Washington Technology Park I & II), located in Chantilly, Virginia. These class “A” office buildings are located on 51.9 acres in a park-like setting convenient to the location of several government agencies. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“UNICOM is very excited to acquire these premier IT Real Estate properties as the regional headquarters for our UNICOM Government division,” said Mr. Corry Hong, founder, president and CEO of UNICOM Global. “Our commitment to expand and extend our IT Real Estate portfolio and accommodations for Federal Government agencies is reflected in this investment. With state of the art facilities, including Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (“SCIF”) conference centers and a large auditorium to hold key events, these properties demonstrate UNICOM’s willingness to invest in the future of our country, and to create up to 1,000 new jobs.”

UNICOM Technology Park I & II is located just south of the Washington-Dulles International Airport, in an 1,100-acre office park developed in the 1980s that includes a colonial style conference center with 48,000 square feet of meeting space, a golf course and athletic fields:

  • A two-story, 43,210 square foot building known as The Commons. The Commons is a combination of office space and amenities, including a health & fitness center, an auditorium, conference room, and a full-service cafeteria. The Commons amenities are shared with both UNICOM Technology Park I & II via an underground walkway.

UNICOM Technology Park I & II will be the regional headquarters for UNICOM Global housing its over 40 corporate entities including UNICOM Systems, UNICOM Government, UNICOM Engineering, U.S. Robotics, Firetide, CICS.com, iET Solutions, Detec, SoftLanding, illustro, Memeo, Macro 4, Eden.com, UNICOM Capital and UNICOM Global Travel Services.
